On Father's Day Mike finally did something he has always wanted to do, but especially before he turned 40.

Mike's Sprint Triathlon

On May 18th Mike competed in a Sprint Triathlon (400 meter open water swim, 10 mile bike, and a 3 mile run). He finished 12th in his age group.

In this picture Mike is the one in the middle but the picture was taken from behind and he is actually passing the swimmer to the left.

It really does not surprise me how well he did because he is very dedicated to his training schedule and has some wonderful friends that got him started and have kept supporting him. Thanks Guys!!

Mike really likes this picture because it looks like he is the lead runner. I am so proud of Mike and all of the training he has been doing. He has plans for more Sprint Triathlons but his big goal is going to be the Houston marathon in January.

Christian's Locks

Christian has been growing her hair for a year now and decided it was time to cut it and help a child that might be in need of some beautiful hair. We were going to wait until she was leaving for camp, but after a couple of weeks of swimming with long hair, decided to do it now instead of at the end of the summer. She is very proud of herself and Mom and Dad are proud of her too.

From Wii to Me

"Me Bowling"Chase had the chance to do some "real" bowling this past weekend at a friend's birthday party. So far he had only experienced Wii bowling as seen in the video from this past Christmas at Grammy and Grampa's house.

New Family Member

We have a new addition to our family. His name is Snowball, and he is a very white hamster. We saved him from a neighbor whos daughter was leaving for school this summer and could not take him with her. He has been a lot of fun so far rolling around in his ball all around the house. And true to most hamsters he has already escaped his cage. The second night we had him Mike and I woke up to find Snowball upstairs in our room at about 5 in the morning. I'm not sure how he got up there because we have his cage up on the counter in the living room and our door was closed. They sure are tricky little creatures.

I Love Swimming

I am 9 years old turning 10. Swimming is my fave thing in the whole entire world, because you get to get in the water. Right now I am doing swimming lessons, and after that I will be doing swim team. Right now I am learning the stroke "butterfly". My fave stroke is "breast stroke". In 1 week I start swim team. It will be fun. My swim team's name is the Dolphins. We swam against lots and lots of other swim teams, at swim meets. One time I got in first place of all the Dolphins.

Hands

I got an email about a month ago that showed a picture of four generations of hands. I liked it so much I wanted to take one of my own. My Nana visited us last weekend with my parents and I got the chance to take it.
